Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Introduction

Shiftix.AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information. For workers, this includes roles, availability, location preferences, and hourly rate. For employers, this includes business name, location, and contact details.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, shift postings, invitation responses, and timestamps.

Payment Information: If you use our paid services, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only Stripe customer and transaction identifiers — never full card numbers or CVV codes.

Location Data: Workers may provide their base location and maximum working distance to enable shift matching. This information is used solely for matching purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Match workers to relevant shift opportunities based on roles, availability, location, and reliability
  • Send notifications about shift invitations, confirmations, and updates
  • Process payments and maintain transaction records
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve our matching algorithms and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Between Employers and Workers: When a shift match is made, relevant profile information (name, roles, reliability score) is shared between the matched employer and worker.

Service Providers: We work with third-party service providers (e.g., Stripe for payments, hosting providers) who need access to your information to perform services on our behalf.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit, secure authentication mechanisms, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through the Contact page on our website.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact Us
